Op-Ed: Prop 8 goes against God’s love for every person

NEW YORK (JTA)—As a rabbi, I would urge all residents of California to vote No on Proposition 8, the state ballot measure that would eliminate the right of same-sex couples to marry in California.

YES ON PROP 2!!!!

California!!! Yes on Prop 2, got it?

Go Vote Tommorow!

So tommorow is Election Day, that’s pretty scary because now, we’re going to either be getting a completely delusional vice president or a incompetent president, bad things. On the cheerful side, hopefully Election Day will bring democrats a 60 vote filibuster proof majority in the Senate, John McCain just barely eke out a victory, (call me delusional, it doesn’t hurt to hope) and we’ll expand our majorities in the house by double digits, good things. There are also two VERY important referendums today in California, Proposition Two and Eight. Proposition two will take a huge step to make farms in California more humane, it’s supported by everyone from Hilary Duff to PETA. Proposition Eight is brought by neoconservatives who believe that we should be under a theocracy and therefore should base our laws on the bible, they brought a hateful document that would define marriage in California as between a man and woman, in other words all progressive and unbigoted people have to be unified in making sure that resolution doesn’t pass.

 

Election 2008=Vote McCain/Democratic.

Maybe It Wasn’t a Snub

If you read my post on the Proposition Two sponsers snubbing Hilary Duff, you know I contacted those people and asked why Hilary wasn’t listed. I received the following reply:

We assure you this was just oversight. Thanks for bringing to our attention; we’ve added Ms. Duff to our endorsement page.

So they claim it was just oversight, I believe them, even though its kinda hard to believe that anyone could get Hilary Duff’s endorsment and forget to post it! Anyways its listed now.. 

Hilary Duff Snubbed By Prop Two Organizers!

Prop 2, a “ modest reform on the November [California] statewide ballot aimed at phasing out the most cruel and inhumane confinement of farm animals in crates and cages so small they can barely move.” Hilary Duff announced her support of it in her latest podcast:

For some reason, on the yesonprop2.com website, Hilary Duff has not been added to the list of Public Figures who have endorsed the initiative. This is disturbing considering that even minor figures such as Alicia Silverstone are listed. Repeated messages to the Yes on Prop. 2 group went unanswered.

Update: A response has been received from Yes on Prop 2.
